![]() ![]() I had tried a 4-AA Dremel tool for trimming dog nails back in the late 1990's but it was a 'no-power' piece of junk that Dremel should never have sold as I am sure it probably cost Dremel some future customers that may have purchased the nail-cutter-junk as an example of what kind of merchandise they made and would not make the mistake of buying from them twice. I saw this Dremel 4-AA, 6v battery operated unit. So gave to Goodwill in case someone else wanted to keep it going for another 20 years. The "expensive batteries" were getting hard to find and keeping a tool powered and ready to use that only saw daylight a couple times a year anymore just was a waste of money. I had gone through quite a few batteries and recharges. The Mini-Mite lasted me around 20 years until 2016. I was at that age where you bought tools, not because you needed it, but just for fun and who knows, maybe a project will pop-up for which you are glad you had it on hand. Many Years later, I still had my original Moto-Tool but wanted to get the "Dremel Mini-Mite" wireless 4.5v rotary tool. That cabin had turned into Lincoln Village for my electric train table by the time I was in Boy Scouts. My first Dremel project was to go out into the woods with my Dad to collect branches to convert into "Lincoln Logs" for a Lincoln Log Cabin that I had wanted for Christmas. Loved the world of making things these tools brought to life for me. I also got the Dremel scroll-saw and sander that Christmas from "Santa". I got my first Dremel "Moto-Tool" back in 1953? I was a multi-speed full featured unit. Glad I bought this economical and useful tool
